Whenever a tourist come to Ho Chi Minh City or otherwise known as Sai Gon, they will probably hear the name “Ben Thanh Market” as a recommended destination and rightfully so. As a fine presentation of Vietnamese culture and Saigonese in particular, the grand market plays a vital role in the history of the City and still pose much significance in the tourism sector. Today article will serve as a brief introduction piece to the heart of District 1, Ben Thanh Market.
LOCATION
As mentioned above, the crowded market is located near the center of District 1 at the intersection between Le Loi, Ham Nghi, Tan Hung and Le Lai streets. Being a famous landmark it is, all taxi drivers will have no trouble navigating to it. However, if you are living somewhere in the district, you can easily walk to Ben Thanh Market as well due to its generally central location.
